Portland Police Seek Suspects in Violent Coma-Inducing Assault

Portland, Oregon – Portland Police Bureau is seeking assistance from the public to identify suspects and witnesses linked to a violent assault that occurred in the Pearl District towards the end of last month. The assault took place on February 24 around 9:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Northwest 13th Avenue, where officers responded to reports of a man with serious injuries.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and remained in a coma for over a week. Detectives from PPB’s Major Crimes unit suspect that the assault stemmed from a dispute at a classic car gathering earlier that evening, involving up to three men. The victim’s girlfriend, who chose to remain unnamed, recounted the distressing experience and the extent of the victim’s injuries.

The suspects are described as Hispanic or Caucasian men in their 30s, weighing between 200 to 250 pounds. They may be associated with a vintage Chevy vehicle, possibly in grey, blue, or green color. Authorities are also on the lookout for a large white truck with bright blue neon lights that may be linked to the suspects or witnesses.

Although the victim is slowly regaining consciousness, he is still grappling with memory loss and will continue to undergo treatment at the hospital. The victim’s girlfriend expressed concerns about the long road to recovery ahead, mentioning the possibility of seizures and uncertain timelines for recovery.

Police urge anyone with information or who witnessed the assault to come forward and assist in the investigation. The community’s cooperation is pivotal in bringing justice to the victim and ensuring that those responsible for the violent assault are held accountable.
