Rescue Dog Stitch Seeks Forever Home in Norfolk After Traumatic Attack

Wymondham, United Kingdom – A rescue dog named Stitch, who was on the brink of death following a brutal attack in a Romanian dog shelter, is now seeking a permanent home in Norfolk. The seven to eight-year-old crossbreed was savagely mauled by other dogs and left severely injured until volunteers from the charity Safe Rescue for Dogs stepped in to save him.

Kelly Hare, a fosterer from the organization, recounted the harrowing incident, stating, “If we hadn’t intervened, the other dog would not have stopped until he’d killed him.” Despite the trauma he endured, Stitch has shown resilience and a willingness to trust again despite being described as “damaged by his past experiences.”

In the UK, where Stitch now resides, he has been slowly recovering from his physical and emotional wounds, with his initial weeks marked by depression and withdrawal. However, with the care and support of his fosterers, Stitch has begun to open up and show signs of improvement. Despite his past, Stitch has demonstrated a friendly demeanor towards other dogs and is gradually warming up to people.

While still hesitant around humans, Stitch is in search of a compassionate owner who can understand his unique needs and provide a safe and loving environment. The road to recovery for Stitch has been challenging, but with the right person by his side, he has the potential to flourish and thrive in his new home in Norfolk.
