Reward Increased to $20,000 in Search for Compton Pool Party Shooter

Compton, California – Authorities have announced a $20,000 reward in the investigation of a deadly shooting at a pool party in Compton. The incident took place on June 7 at a residence near Greenleaf Boulevard and Mayo Street around 7:45 p.m., according to the Compton Sheriff’s Station.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies discovered Robert Abdelkader III, 28, near the pool area with fatal gunshot wounds. Abdelkader, a business owner, was catering the party when the shooting occurred. Five other individuals, two men and three women, sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Witnesses reported a crowd of 200-300 people at the event, with many fleeing as shots rang out. Detectives suspect multiple shooters were involved in the incident, and they believe Abdelkader was an innocent bystander.
