Security Guards Shot and Killed Outside Avalon Nightclub in Columbus Altercation

Columbus, Ohio – A tragic shooting outside the Avalon nightclub in downtown Columbus has left a mother grieving the loss of her son. Latrice Bradley is in disbelief as she processes the news of her eldest son, Desmond Taylor, being shot and killed while working security at the club.

According to Columbus police, the incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. on Friday following an altercation outside the nightclub. Bradley expressed her frustration with the senseless violence, highlighting the impact on innocent lives affected by the shooting.

Desmond Taylor, known for his dedication to his job as a security guard, had moved to Columbus for a fresh start after facing challenges in his early 20s. His former boss, Jay Wade, praised Taylor for his commitment to his work and his efforts to turn his life around before the tragic incident.
