Shooting Arrests Made in Bossier Parish Homicide案。

BENTON, Louisiana – Following a tragic incident just south of Benton, two individuals have been taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting. The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office revealed that the victim, an elderly man from Shreveport, lost his life on Thursday evening after being shot multiple times in the upper body upon arriving at a residence.

Efforts from neighbors to save the victim proved futile, as he was declared deceased at the scene. Subsequently, a diligent investigation ensued, leading detectives to locate the suspect’s vehicle at a residence in north Shreveport. This discovery prompted the execution of search warrants at two separate locations in Shreveport early the next morning.

Authorities were able to identify Destiny Landers, aged 23, as the driver of the vehicle, with Delandro Fleming, aged 22, identified as the alleged perpetrator. Landers was apprehended during a search operation, while Fleming was taken into custody at a residence on Captain Shreve Drive. The motive behind the incident remains unknown as of now.

Both Landers and Fleming have been charged with first-degree murder and are being held at Bossier Max. Landers’ bail has been set at $500,000, while Fleming’s is at $1,000,000. This unfortunate event marks the first homicide of the year in the parish, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward by calling 318-965-3418.

As the community mourns the loss of the elderly man, the investigation continues to uncover the circumstances leading to this senseless act of violence. The swift actions taken by law enforcement in arresting the suspects offer some solace to residents, but the unanswered questions surrounding the motive linger. Despite the arrests, the need for closure and justice remains a top priority for all involved parties.
