Shooting at University of Cincinnati Leaves Three Dead – Police Arrest Suspect

Cincinnati, Ohio- In the early hours of the morning, a tragedy unfolded near the University of Cincinnati campus as gunshots rang out. Police responded to reports of the incident at the intersection of East University Avenue and Highland Avenue around 2:50 a.m.

According to Captain Mark Burns, upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered four victims. Sadly, one individual was pronounced dead on site, while two others succumbed to their injuries after being transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Further complicating the situation, one of the victims made their way to a hospital across town, while another was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, a tense moment ensued when a person fled into a nearby house with a weapon, leading to a brief standoff before the individual was taken into custody. It remains uncertain if this person was the perpetrator of the shooting.
