Shooting in Crete Leaves Six Injured, Including Three Children

Crete, Nebraska – A shooting incident in Crete left six individuals injured, including three children, on Friday evening. The Nebraska State Patrol reported that the incident unfolded around 4:35 p.m. when first responders were alerted to gunshots in a neighborhood near Longwood Drive and Boswell Avenue on the east side of town. Sean Caradori revealed that upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered three adults and three children with gunshot wounds, with another gunshot heard from a neighboring house.

All six victims were promptly transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, as confirmed by Caradori. Later in the evening, around 7 p.m., SWAT team officers entered the house where the additional gunshot was heard and discovered a deceased man from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
