FRANKFORD, Pa. — Police in Philadelphia are investigating the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man who was attacked while driving in the Frankford neighborhood late Monday night.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. as the man was driving a Honda Accord along Brill Street, near the intersection with Frankford Avenue, close to Cedar Hill Cemetery. Authorities have not released the victim’s name.
According to Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, surveillance footage captured two individuals approaching the vehicle moments before the shooting. He indicated that the shooter fired into the passenger side of the car, which had its window down, hitting the victim in the head.

Investigators discovered two shell casings at the crime scene and noted that the suspects fled the area immediately after the shooting. Police are analyzing the footage in an effort to identify the assailants and determine their motives.
As the investigation continues, community leaders are expressing concerns over the rising gun violence in the city. Local residents are encouraged to come forward with any information that could assist police in solving the case.
