Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured in Nashville Alley Incident

Authorities have identified the victim as 32-year-old Christopher Cheeks, who lost his life in the incident. A 29-year-old man also sustained injuries during the altercation, prompting an investigation by the homicide detectives.

The fatal shooting took place around 2:30 a.m. when Cheeks and his friends were approached by three unidentified men. The group was initially hanging out cordially before the suspects allegedly attempted to rob them, leading to a violent confrontation. Tragically, Cheeks was found in the parking garage of the Hayes Street Hotel and rushed to the same medical facility, where he succumbed to his injuries.
