Shooting Leaves Three Dead Near University of Cincinnati Camps

Cincinnati, Ohio – An early morning shooting near the University of Cincinnati campus has left three people dead and two others injured, according to police reports. The incident took place in the area of Highland and East University avenues, less than a mile from the university campus.

In the midst of the chaos, five males were shot around 2:50 a.m. local time. Authorities responded to reports of multiple gunshots and found four individuals with gunshot wounds upon arrival. Tragically, one victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear at this time.

Paramedics rushed the remaining victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. Sadly, two of the injured individuals were pronounced dead by medical staff. Law enforcement officers were able to take one individual into custody at the scene. The suspect was seen entering a residence with a firearm before surrendering to authorities. The exact role of this individual in the shooting has yet to be determined.
