ANTIOCH, Tenn. – Two women are in critical condition following a domestic-related shooting at an apartment complex in Antioch. The incident also resulted in a child being injured, while the shooter is reported to be deceased.
Metro Nashville police responded to the shooting at the Baker Station Apartments on Sunday afternoon. The shooter, who has not been identified, entered the apartment complex and began shooting.
A 31-year-old woman, who had a prior relationship with the shooter, and a 21-year-old woman were critically wounded in the attack. Both victims are currently receiving treatment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Additionally, a six-year-old boy sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was able to provide information to law enforcement.
Fortunately, a seven-month-old baby who was in the apartment during the shooting was unharmed. The shooter, who had a connection to one of the victims, ultimately took his own life.
