Shooting Tragedy in Boynton Beach: Brothers Gunned Down Amid Multimillion-Dollar Fraud Drama

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — In a tragic incident that unfolded Monday afternoon, two brothers were shot and killed inside a business, allegedly by a man linked to a significant fraud case. The victims, 67-year-old Charles Geragi and his 72-year-old brother Richard, were discovered by police inside an office at All-American Farms Inc. around 4 p.m.

Authorities identified the suspected shooter as 39-year-old Nesar Dawla from West Palm Beach. Following the shooting, he fled the scene but reportedly took his own life after a brief police pursuit. Investigators believe that Charles Geragi had arranged the meeting with Dawla to discuss the return of funds connected to an ongoing fraud investigation involving Dawla’s brother.

The motive behind the shooting is tied to a fraudulent scheme that had already cost victims over $5 million in 2024. Sadman Dawla, Nesar’s brother, was found guilty of multiple felony charges related to grand theft exceeding $100,000. While Nesar Dawla was suspected of involvement in these fraudulent activities, authorities had yet to gather enough evidence to make an arrest.

Witnesses reported seeing Nesar Dawla escape in a white Cadillac SUV shortly after the shooting. Police located the vehicle a few minutes later and attempted a traffic stop. However, Dawla did not comply, leading to a short chase. It ended fatally when law enforcement observed Dawla shoot himself inside the vehicle as it crashed.

As a precaution, nearby schools and businesses were placed on lockdown during the police response, although no incidents occurred on school property. This action aimed to protect the community while the situation unfolded.

The investigation into the event remains ongoing, with law enforcement urging anyone with additional information to come forward. To aid in the investigation, Detective Gleicher is available for contact at 561-742-6163.

This heartbreaking incident highlights the tragic intersection of crime and personal relationships, underlined by a web of deceit that spans multiple lives. As the community processes this violence, the implications of fraud and its far-reaching consequences continue to reverberate.
