Shooting Tragedy Leaves Two Dead, Including Child Injured: Fort Lauderdale Police Requesting Public Assistance

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Tragedy struck on Monday night as a woman and man lost their lives in a suspected drive-by shooting in Fort Lauderdale. Multiple other individuals, including a child, were injured in the incident that occurred near the 700 block of Northwest 10th Terrace around 7:55 p.m.

Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered five adults and a child with gunshot wounds. Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead on-site, while the man succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The child and three other adults were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

While details about the victims’ ages and identities remain undisclosed, authorities are working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. Initial investigations by the authorities suggest that the incident may have been a targeted drive-by shooting.

At this time, no suspects are in custody, and the police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat from an active shooter. Detectives are actively pursuing leads and are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
