Shooting Tragedy: Man Killed in City Heights, Suspect Arrested – San Diego, CA

San Diego, CA – Tragedy struck City Heights in the early hours when a fatal shooting took place on the 4000 block of 36th Street. The San Diego Police Department confirmed the incident, which resulted in the death of a 33-year-old man.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m., catching residents by surprise in the residential complex where the victim resided. Upon arrival at the scene, patrol officers found the man critically injured. Despite efforts by paramedics to save him, he was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Sanchez’s motive for the violent act remains unclear as police continue their inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. He is currently detained at San Diego Central Jail without bail, awaiting arraignment scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
