Shooting Tragedy Strikes Spartanburg: Man Killed at Party, Investigation Underway After Possible Dispute Over Money

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on North Center Street, where officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported that the victim had attended a nearby party, which was ongoing at the time of the shooting. Several individuals fled the scene amid the chaos, complicating the investigation as officers work to determine exactly what transpired.

Preliminary reports suggest that a dispute over money may have escalated into violence. As investigators delve into the case, they have yet to identify any suspects. However, a witness described the shooter as a Black man, who was seen wearing a red jacket and red pants.
