Shreveport Shooting Claims Two Lives

SHREVEPORT, LA – The Caddo Parish coroner has identified two men who were tragically killed in a shooting incident over the weekend in downtown Shreveport. JaCorey Fuller, aged 28, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds shortly after arriving at Ochsner LSU Health hospital. Similarly, Noah Penn, 24, from Shreveport, passed away several hours later at the same hospital.

The violence unfolded around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday at Club Haze on Texas Street, where three men and a woman were shot. While Fuller was rushed from the scene in an ambulance, Penn and the other victims were transported to the hospital by other means.

Authorities have reported that despite multiple witnesses hearing gunshots, no one was able to identify the shooter. Detectives are actively investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made yet.

Tragically, the deaths of Fuller and Penn mark the eighth and ninth homicides in Shreveport and Caddo Parish this year, highlighting the ongoing issue of violence in the area. Community members and officials are expressing concern over the increasing crime rate and the need for more significant measures to address the root causes of such incidents.

As the investigation continues, residents are urged to come forward with any information they may have to help law enforcement bring about justice for the victims and their families. The city is mourning the loss of these two young men and is determined to work towards a safer future for all its residents.
