Stabbing Incident Erupts in Chicago Loop Retail Store, Man Hospitalized in Good Condition

Chicago, Illinois – A man was stabbed inside a retail store in the Loop on Saturday afternoon. The incident took place at a Ross Dress for Less store near East Randolph Street and North Wabash Avenue, according to Chicago police.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was stabbed in the stomach and back following a verbal altercation with another individual. He was promptly transported to Northwestern Hospital and is reported to be in good condition. Initially, the Chicago Fire Department stated that the victim was in critical condition upon arrival at the hospital.

Eyewitnesses described the altercation as occurring during a busy shopping period. They recounted that the dispute appeared to be centered around store merchandise. Amidst the chaos, an ambulance rushed the injured store employee through downtown Chicago, turning the retail location into a crime scene.

The store’s men’s section was cordoned off with yellow tape as customers observed the aftermath of the violent episode. Shoppers recounted witnessing the altercation near the men’s department, where a security guard was reportedly confronted by two individuals. The suspect fled the scene after the attack, leaving behind a trail of scattered and bloodied merchandise.
