DUNLAP, TN – A Tennessee man, returning home earlier than planned, allegedly found his wife entangled in a shocking situation that spiraled into tragedy. Jonathan Belk, 41, is accused of fatally stabbing an 18-year-old man after discovering him with his wife, according to local authorities.
The incident unfolded Saturday on Powerline Road in Dunlap, roughly 40 miles from Chattanooga. Upon arrival, police reportedly found Belk standing in his doorway, covered in blood. Inside the home, officers made the grim discovery of 18-year-old Billy J. Floyd’s body, reportedly crammed into a trash can in a fetal position.
During subsequent questioning, Belk allegedly confessed to attacking Floyd. Investigators also noted that Belk’s wife sustained several stab wounds in the altercation and was hospitalized for her injuries.
