He also pointed out geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan, highlighting the economic disparities between the two nations and their implications on security and stability in the region.
In a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ramlall and the South African community expressed solidarity with the government and people of India in condemning the senseless act of violence. They emphasized the importance of unity in combating terrorism and upholding peace, justice, and security in the region.
Terrorism remains a significant threat to humanity, as noted by Ramlall, who reiterated the commitment to working alongside India and the international community to promote values of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.
