Terror: Attacker Leaves Victim with Concussion and Broken Bones – Sister’s Tearful Update on Victim’s Condition

TEXARKANA, Texas – After a violent attack on a mall employee in Central Mall, the sister of the victim tearfully provided an update on his physical and emotional condition. Daniel Lynn Thomas, the attacker, turned himself in and later posted bond after being identified as the person responsible for brutally beating and injuring the employee.

Richard Huff, the employee, suffered a concussion and several broken facial bones as a result of the unprovoked attack. Texarkana police highlighted the severity of the incident, stating that it was evident from video evidence and witness statements that Thomas was the aggressor and savagely attacked the mall employee, causing serious injuries.

In the wake of the attack, Roshanda Epps, Huff’s sister, emotionally shared her brother’s mindset as the family prepared to assist him through a long and painful recovery process. Epps expressed the pain of watching her brother express a desire to give up and even wanting to die due to the extent of his suffering. She emphasized the impact of the attacker’s actions on their family and asked for the continued support and prayers from the community.

As Huff continues to undergo ongoing medical treatment and recovery, the mall’s owner has set up a GoFundMe page to assist with the financial burden. Huff has been airlifted twice to Little Rock for complications and to receive medical care to save his eyesight. The family is counting on the support and generosity of the community to aid Huff through his recovery process.
