Terrorism Suspected as FBI Recovers Incendiary Device at Las Vegas Tesla Service Center

Las Vegas, Nevada – Law enforcement officials are currently investigating a possible act of terrorism after multiple Teslas were set on fire at a service center in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The FBI and Las Vegas Police recovered an undetonated incendiary device at the scene of the attack, which occurred at the Tesla Collision Center. Authorities are working together to determine the motive behind the targeted incident.

During the attack, five cars were damaged, and two were completely engulfed in flames. In addition to setting cars on fire, the attacker also used a gun to fire rounds at different vehicles and Molotov cocktails as incendiary devices. Detectives discovered the word “resist” spray painted on the building, raising concerns about a potential political agenda behind the violence.

Special Agent Spencer Evans of the FBI Las Vegas office expressed the need to fully investigate the incident to understand the perpetrator’s intentions. A joint press conference was held with law enforcement agencies to provide updates on the ongoing investigation. Asst. Sheriff Dori Koren assured the public that, while the suspect remains at large, they believe the incident is isolated and does not pose a further threat to the community.

Investigators are currently gathering evidence, including footage from the Teslas on the premises, to identify the perpetrator. Law enforcement is collaborating with Tesla to retrieve video recordings from vehicles in sentry mode. This incident in Las Vegas is part of a series of vandalisms at Tesla dealerships and charging stations across the nation, prompting concerns about the company’s security measures.

Despite recent incidents in other states, law enforcement officials have not confirmed a link between the attacks. The focus remains on identifying the suspect and determining if they acted alone. The community is urged to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation through the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center or Crime Stoppers. This act of vandalism has raised questions about the security of Tesla facilities and the need for increased vigilance in protecting against potential threats.
