The tragic shooting unfolded around 8 a.m. when the Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call regarding a possible assault with a deadly weapon.
Upon arrival, deputies encountered a 19-year-old woman who reported that her father had fired a gun and was found unconscious nearby. Law enforcement officials quickly discovered the body of Hector Lionel Alfaro lying in the den with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
