Reports indicate that she then pursued the agent as he tried to escape, continuing to berate him in front of Philz Coffee.
Following a conviction of battery in state court for the August assault, Melendez received a sentence of 18 days in jail, one year of probation, and was ordered to stay away from the courthouse.
