Gwadar, Pakistan – A tragic incident unfolded in Gwadar district where a soldier was martyred and 16 others, including an officer, were injured in what the military’s media wing described as “unprovoked assaults” by violent protesters. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that a group claiming to be ‘Baloch Raji Muchi’ attacked security forces personnel engaged in their duties in the district.
Sepoy Shabbir Baloch, a 30-year-old hailing from district Sibi, tragically lost his life during the confrontation. The ISPR highlighted that false and misleading information is being circulated on social media through altered images and videos by those seeking to garner sympathy and support for their unlawful actions.
Despite facing provocations, security forces exhibited great restraint to prevent unnecessary harm to civilians. The ISPR firmly stated that the violent behavior displayed by the mob is unacceptable, and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions. They called on the public to remain calm, peaceful, and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to uphold safety and order in the region.
Furthermore, the ISRP emphasized the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces, supported by the nation, to combat any attempts aimed at disrupting the peace and stability of Balochistan. The statement urged the community not to be swayed by propaganda and to stand together in maintaining a secure environment for all residents of the area.
