Woman sees her boyfriend at Circle K with another woman and runs the woman over with her Volkswagen

AUBURNDALE, FL – A Florida woman is facing charges after allegedly using her car to strike another woman, motivated by the sight of her estranged husband with the victim, authorities reported.

Christdon Reese, 41, was arrested last Friday on charges that include attempted first-degree murder, trespassing, and probation violation, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. The charges stem from an incident on April 10 near a Circle K gas station in Auburndale, about 50 miles southwest of Orlando.

The victim and her boyfriend had visited the Circle K on U.S. Highway 92 East, where they purchased items before making their way toward a friend’s home. As the couple crossed Old Dixie Highway, the boyfriend reportedly saw Reese driving a white Volkswagen Jetta southbound on the same road.

Enraged by the sight of her estranged husband with another woman, Reese allegedly made a swift decision to turn her vehicle into a weapon. Surveillance footage from the convenience store reportedly shows Reese accelerating towards the couple after making a U-turn in a nearby Family Dollar parking lot.

“The victim attempted to flee by running down a driveway, but Reese gave chase, striking her with the car,” stated the sheriff’s office. Reese then fled the scene, speeding north on Old Dixie Highway.

Emergency responders found the injured woman, who was taken to a local hospital. X-rays revealed two spinal fractures, though she is expected to recover fully.

Sheriff Grady Judd emphasized the perilous nature of domestic disputes, noting in a statement the importance of emotional control to prevent harm. “This victim was injured but survived the ordeal. Christdon Reese needs to learn how to control her temper; time in jail might offer her that chance,” he stated.

Reese’s legal troubles are compounded by her existing probation from a 2023 retail theft case in Osceola County, now resulting in a probation violation charge. Furthermore, the homeowner where the incident occurred cited a lack of permission for Reese’s presence on the property, leading to the trespassing charge.

Reese remains in custody at Central County Jail without bail, records indicate, as the investigation continues.
