Arrested: Man Suspected in Deaths of Mother and Baby Found in Orange County Arrested in New Jersey

Orange County, Florida – After a lengthy search, a suspect wanted in connection with the deaths of a 20-year-old woman and her 1-year-old daughter has been apprehended in New Jersey, as confirmed by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, Doujon Duwayne Griffiths, 23, was arrested following a routine stop by authorities in New Jersey. The incident dates back to September 2021 when Massania Malcolm, 20, was discovered shot to death inside a vehicle on Ellenor Drive. Tragically, her infant daughter also lost her life due to being left unattended inside the vehicle on that fateful day.

In a statement released by the sheriff’s office, they expressed their dedication to never forgetting the victims and their hope that the arrest of Griffiths would provide some solace and closure to the families affected by this terrible tragedy.

Throughout the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Griffiths had been residing with Malcolm, her boyfriend, and their child. The boyfriend, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, indicated that Griffiths was responsible for the shootings. Facing charges of first-degree murder in the deaths of Malcolm and her daughter, Griffiths also faces an attempted murder charge in connection with the shooting of Malcolm’s boyfriend.
