Northville, MI – Two suspects have been apprehended in connection with a violent armed robbery and sexual assault that took place in January in Northville Township. Javon Bryant Anderson, 29, who hails from Detroit, is facing 26 felony charges, including first-degree criminal sexual conduct, armed robbery, kidnapping, home invasion, assault, felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, and felony firearm offenses. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond, with his next court appearance scheduled for February 16. Another suspect has also been taken into custody and faces federal weapons charges, although their identity has not been disclosed by the police.
The incident occurred on January 20th at a home in Northville Township, where a man was assaulted, and a woman was subjected to sexual assault. The attackers allegedly lured the man out of the house and proceeded to assault him before forcing him back inside at gunpoint. One of the suspects then sexually assaulted the woman while the other held the man and a 1-year-old child at gunpoint. Following an investigation, the suspects were identified and arrested after a search of homes in Detroit and Taylor on February 5th.
