Attack: Shocking Snapchat Video Captures Violent Assault on Innocent Shop Worker in Stockport

Stockport, England – A shocking video spread on Snapchat captures the brutal assault on a gas station employee by a group of masked assailants. The disturbing footage shows the staff member being punched, kicked, and even stomped on while cowering behind the counter. The incident, which took place at a petrol station on Wellington Road South in Stockport, occurred in the early hours of July 29, 2021.

Authorities were led to the suspects, Kausar Amin, Bradley Maphosa, Tyler Garforth, and Riley Richardson, after obtaining the Snapchat video depicting the violent attack. The video shows the group threatening the employee from the forecourt before barging into the station, where they proceeded to physically assault the worker. The gang stole £600 worth of stock before fleeing the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Amin received a two-year sentence for robbery, while his accomplices were also convicted. Maphosa, 20, of Salford, was sentenced to two years in a young offender institution. Garforth, 19, of Chadderton, Oldham, received a 13-month suspended sentence, and Richardson, 19, of Oldham, was sentenced to 13 months in prison, also suspended for two years.

Detective Constable Lucy Williams commended the victim for their bravery and the public for their assistance in the appeal process. Williams expressed gratitude for the support received, emphasizing the importance of the evidence gathered in ensuring that the perpetrators faced justice for their actions.

In addition to their sentences, Garforth was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days, and a curfew from 7pm to 7am for three months. Richardson was required to undergo a six-month alcohol treatment program, perform 100 hours of unpaid work, and participate in 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days. The case serves as a reminder of the consequences of senseless violence and the importance of community involvement in seeking justice.
