Louisville, Kentucky – Police are in search of a second suspect related to an alarming attack that occurred outside a restaurant in east Louisville. Louisville Metro Police issued a public call on Wednesday seeking help in locating 19-year-old Malakhi Scott Weathers-Parker, believed to be involved in the violent incident that resulted in three individuals being hospitalized.
Reports indicate that the altercation unfolded when a group of individuals heading to Malone’s at the Paddock Shops made a playful comment towards another group having their photo taken outside the restaurant on Saturday, March 8. The situation escalated quickly as the group, including Weathers-Parker and Seth Jones, 19, who has already been apprehended and charged, perceived this comment as disrespectful. Subsequently, Weathers-Parker, Jones, and a juvenile allegedly retraced their steps back to the parking lot in search of the individuals who made the remark, scouring various restaurants in the area to locate them.
Upon the victims’ emergence from the restaurant, they were confronted by Weathers-Parker, Jones, and the juvenile, leading to a physical altercation. Police reports detail that one victim was assaulted with their own metal baton. Significant injuries were sustained during this violent encounter, with one victim losing consciousness, enduring a concussion, and a minor brain bleed, while another suffered a fractured skull and brain bleed.
Following the altercation, Weathers-Parker, Jones, and the juvenile fled the scene; however, security footage captured the incident.
