Campus Lockdown Lifted After Homicide Victims Found on University of Colorado Colorado Springs Campus

Colorado Springs, Colorado – The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) was the scene of a tragic incident Friday, as the police investigated the discovery of two individuals found shot dead in a dorm room. The shelter-in-place order for the university’s campus was lifted around 9:30 a.m. after the early morning incident.

According to the police, they received a report of shots fired just before 6 a.m. inside a dorm room. Upon entering the room at 6:05 a.m., officers discovered two deceased individuals, both with at least one gunshot wound. The shooting is being investigated as a double homicide and not a murder-suicide, as stated by the police.
