Michael David McKee, the ex-husband of Monique Tepe, was arrested following a police investigation that tracked him from Columbus, Ohio, to Rockford, located about 79 miles northwest of Chicago. Court documents state that McKee, who divorced Monique in 2017, is now facing charges related to the couple’s deaths.
The Tepe family released a statement expressing their gratitude for the work of law enforcement and stated, “Today’s arrest represents an important step toward justice for Monique and Spencer.” They acknowledged the profound loss of the couple, whose lives were taken far too soon, while thanking the community for its support during this difficult time.
