Gun-Wielding Man Fatally Shot by Austin Police Officers in Apartment Complex Incident

Austin, Texas – Austin police released body camera footage on Friday depicting officers shooting and killing a man on April 27. The incident involved officers confronting a man identified as Thomas Price, 44, at the Summer Grove apartment complex. According to police, Price was asked to surrender his weapon, but instead raised it towards the officers, resulting in officers Adam Reinhart and Kai Finch firing at him. The bodycam footage was reviewed by the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office as part of the ongoing investigation into the fatal encounter.
