Tiruchi, India – A 56-year-old man with a history of criminal activity was found murdered in Tiruchi city on Tuesday night. The victim, P. Madhavan, was known to the police as a repeat offender with multiple pending cases at the local police station. He was classified as an A+ category history sheeter, meaning he was considered a high-priority individual due to his anti-social behavior.
According to police sources, Madhavan had been drinking with some individuals on Sannadhi Street when he was attacked. It is believed that the motive behind the murder may have been a previous financial dispute with relatives. The unidentified assailants fled the scene, leaving Madhavan dead.
The Tiruchi City Police immediately took action by transporting the body to the Government Hospital at Srirangam for an autopsy. Special investigative teams were formed to identify and apprehend the suspects, while the Srirangam police registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with punishment for murder.
In the course of their investigation, the police detained a 43-year-old man named S. Sankar for further questioning. The authorities are continuing their efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice and bring closure to the case.
