Investigate Murder and Attack on Ugbonla Community Leader: Chiefs Urge Ondo State Governor and Security Agencies

Ugbonla, Ondo State, – The Council of Chiefs in Ugbonla, Ondo State, is calling on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and state security agencies to investigate the recent murder of Bababo Lowo and the violent attack on community leader Adebowale Ebiwanno. The council, led by chairman Ibukunola Owowa and secretary Idowu Agbejoye, issued a communiqué on Saturday detailing the heartbreaking incident.

According to the communiqué, Lowo was tragically killed on February 13, while Ebiwanno and other community members were targeted in a violent assault. The council is urging the state government to thoroughly investigate the matter and ensure that those responsible for these heinous acts are apprehended and brought to justice.

In their statement, the chiefs emphasized the need for the state Commissioner of Police, Director of the Department of State Services, and other security agencies to prioritize the safety and protection of innocent individuals residing in Ugbonla. They strongly condemned the acts of kidnapping and physical violence committed by the perpetrators, calling for swift action to address the ongoing threats faced by the community.

The council’s communiqué serves as a plea for intervention from law enforcement agencies to prevent further harm and secure the well-being of Ugbonla residents. They are urging authorities to identify and arrest the individuals behind the attacks, including the masterminds responsible for Lowo’s murder and the injuries inflicted upon the community leader and others.
