Ramallah, West Bank – An elite Israeli military unit suffered a tragic loss as one officer was killed and another injured during a shooting operation in Ramallah. A total of six soldiers were also reported to be wounded in the intense confrontation. The operation, claimed by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, resulted in devastating casualties for the Israeli forces.
According to reports, the officer from the ‘Duvdovan’ unit, a renowned elite military force, was fatally wounded during direct clashes with the Resistance fighter responsible for the operation. The shooter behind the operation, Martyr Barakat Mansour, engaged in a four-hour chase with Israeli forces before being targeted by an Israeli helicopter. Mansour commenced the operation by firing at vehicles on the ‘Habarsa’ crossroads, leading to a prolonged pursuit that kept the Israeli forces on high alert for hours.
The Israeli military’s deployment of an airforce helicopter in the chase exemplified the seriousness of the situation, as efforts were made to neutralize the threat posed by Mansour.
