Jailed Man Surrenders After Six-Month Run for Violent House Attack

Sheffield, South Yorkshire – A man who evaded authorities for six months after a violent attack in Sheffield has been sentenced to jail for his crimes. Thomas Fenlon, 36, along with his brother Michael Fenlon, carried out an attack on a house where they fired a BB gun at a window and assaulted three individuals, including two teenagers.

The incident, which took place on Landseer Close in September, left a 35-year-old man stabbed in the head multiple times, while a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were subjected to violence. The violent attack was described by the police as life-changing for the young victims involved.

Sheffield Crown Court heard how the brothers targeted the property, resulting in significant injuries to the victims. While Michael Fenlon fled the scene and was later arrested, Thomas Fenlon remained at large until he turned himself in to authorities in March.

In a separate case, Michael Fenlon was previously sentenced to eight years and six months for his involvement in the attack. Thomas Fenlon, on the other hand, received a seven-year jail term for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, wounding with intent, and assault charges. Additionally, he was issued a 10-year restraining order preventing him from contacting the victims or witnesses of the case.

Detective Constable Megan Pryce emphasized the severity of the brothers’ actions, stating that they displayed a blatant disregard for the harm caused to their victims. The victims, particularly the two young teenagers, were left traumatized by the violent attack, which has had a lasting impact on their lives. Pryce underscored the importance of holding individuals like the Fenlon brothers accountable for their actions to ensure justice for the victims.
