Sheffield, England – A man who evaded authorities for six months after a violent attack on a home in Sheffield has been sentenced to seven years in prison. Thomas Fenlon, 36, along with his brother Michael Fenlon, was involved in a disturbing incident where a BB gun was fired at a house window before physically assaulting three individuals present, including two teenagers.
The violent episode took place on Landseer Close on September 17, leaving a 35-year-old victim with severe injuries from multiple stab wounds to the head. Additionally, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy faced harrowing violence during the assault, prompting police to describe the impact on the teenagers’ lives as profound.
Although Michael Fenlon was apprehended on the same day, Thomas Fenlon managed to elude capture until he voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement in March. Subsequently, he confessed to charges including possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, as well as wounding and assault offenses.
In response to the violent attack, Sheffield Crown Court handed Thomas Fenlon a seven-year prison sentence, along with a 10-year restraining order to prevent contact with the victims and witnesses involved. Detective Constable Megan Pryce expressed strong condemnation for the defendants’ actions, emphasizing the trauma caused by their callous disregard for the well-being of their victims, particularly the underage individuals affected by the incident.
