SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA – A mother in Sacramento is still seeking answers nearly three months after her son, along with the owner of the Sacto By Night lounge, was tragically killed. The deaths of 23-year-old Ryu Kai Her and club owner Ben Do remain unsolved, leaving the community in shock.
Despite the lack of arrests in the case, the grieving mother, Mee Yang, is determined to find closure and justice for her son. She is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist the investigators in solving the crime.
Describing her son as someone who lived a vibrant and joyful life, Yang shared memories of Her’s love for dancing and bringing happiness to those around him. She emphasized the importance of finding the perpetrator to bring a sense of peace to her family after the devastating loss.
The incident took place in the parking lot of Sacto By Night, where gang members mistakenly targeted Her and Do, who were innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire. As the three-month mark approaches since the tragic shooting, Yang continues to grapple with the emotional toll of losing her son in such a senseless act of violence.
In an effort to keep her son’s memory alive, Yang organized a memorial that was attended by over 100 people, highlighting the impact Her had on his community in his short 23 years of life.
