Las Vegas Lawyer Fatally Shoots Former Daughter-in-Law and Fellow Attorney during Deposition at Law Firm

Las Vegas, Nevada – A tragic incident unfolded at a law firm in Las Vegas on Monday morning, where a lawyer allegedly fatally shot his former daughter-in-law and another attorney during a deposition. The shooting took place at the Prince Law Group office in Summerlin, where the shooter opened fire during a deposition involving his son, whom he had been representing.

The shooter, identified as Dennis Prince, reportedly turned the gun on himself after the deadly attack, while his son survived the ordeal. The other victim, Ashley, was representing herself during the deposition. Authorities described the shooting as targeted and domestic-related.

Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill confirmed the details during a press conference, revealing that the incident occurred on the fifth floor of the law office. Responding officers discovered the three individuals with gunshot wounds, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were later identified by Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford as Dennis Prince and his wife, Ashley. According to Robert Eglet, a colleague of the slain attorney, Prince was a respected trial lawyer in Nevada who specialized in medical malpractice cases.

The shooting prompted an evacuation of the building and nearby businesses, with authorities following an active-shooter protocol. Investigating the suspect’s vehicle, police worked to determine a motive for the tragic events.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of the shooting, authorities continue to provide support and resources for those affected. This devastating incident underscores the importance of addressing domestic-related violence and the lasting impact it can have on families and communities.
