Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – The identity of a man killed in a corner store deli in Philadelphia’s Point Breeze neighborhood after an altercation with two women has been revealed. The victim, 35-year-old Tyreece Jerry, tragically lost his life in the incident.
According to police reports, Jerry was shot multiple times inside the Federal Deli Market at the intersection of 20th and Federal streets around 6:30 p.m. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Jerry outside the store, and he was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Chief Inspector Scott Small of the Philadelphia Police Department stated that the fatal shooting occurred following a dispute with two women that turned violent. The women reportedly fled in different directions after the incident.
Officials disclosed that the suspects were caught on surveillance footage, with one of the women being a regular customer at the corner store. The motive behind the altercation remains unclear, with police releasing images of the women in hopes of soliciting information from the public.
The primary suspect is described as a woman aged between 23-25, standing at approximately five feet, two inches tall, wearing dark grey crocs and black pants with holes on the legs. The other woman, believed to be in her late 20s, is described as five feet, nine inches tall, wearing white sandals, black pants with holes, and a denim jacket with holes.
Following the shooting, one of the bullets shattered the glass door of the corner store. Employees took precautions before reopening the store, placing a large sticker over the bullet hole.
