MDA Deputy Regional Director Details Victims’ Conditions and Life-Saving Efforts

Lachish Region, Israel – After a devastating attack in the Lachish region, Nachum David, deputy director of Magen David Adom (MDA) in the area, provided a detailed account of the victims’ conditions. He described the chaotic scene upon their arrival, with multiple gunshot victims in urgent need of medical attention.

“We quickly arrived at the scene with a large team, and the sight was extremely distressing. We found individuals with gunshot wounds lying unconscious, and we immediately began administering first aid to the injured,” David stated in a press release.

One of the victims, a young man in his 20s, was found unconscious and without a pulse, suffering from gunshot wounds. MDA personnel worked tirelessly to provide life-saving treatment, performing CPR and managing to stabilize the young man before transporting him to the hospital.

In addition to the young man, another individual in their 20s, a 16-year-old boy, and a 65-year-old man were also found with serious injuries. Amidst the chaos, a 65-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man managed to escape the scene. The MDA team quickly located the 52-year-old man, who was conscious but in need of immediate medical attention due to a penetrating injury.

David emphasized the swift response and life-saving efforts demonstrated by the MDA team in the face of such a harrowing situation. The victims’ conditions varied, with some in critical condition and others in a stable but moderate state. The MDA deputy director’s account sheds light on the critical role of first responders and medical personnel in the aftermath of such tragic events.
