Memphis Block Party Shooting Leaves Two Dead and 14 Injured: Police Hunt for Gunmen

Memphis, Tennessee – A block party in Orange Mound turned tragic as two individuals lost their lives and at least 14 others sustained injuries due to a shooting incident on Saturday night. The Memphis Police Department reported that three of the injured were in critical condition, with 11 others arriving at hospitals by private vehicles, their conditions unknown at this time.

Authorities revealed that the shooting occurred at a gathering of around 300 individuals, with a total of 16 victims being shot during the event. Police responded to the scene at 7:19 p.m. CT and found five victims with gunshot wounds, two of whom were pronounced dead on site while the others were taken to local hospitals.

As of Saturday night, no suspects had been apprehended in connection with the shooting. Police Chief C.J. Davis stated that at least two individuals are believed to have been involved in the incident, although the motive behind the violence remains unclear.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, with law enforcement seeking video footage from the scene as they work to identify those responsible. Chief Davis urged anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward and assist in the case.
