LONDON, England – Larry Chaters, 68, was admitted to the hospital on December 27 with four broken ribs and a collapsed lung. Paramedics responded to a call at his residence reporting that he had fallen down the stairs. Unfortunately, Mr. Chaters succumbed to pneumonia and chest injuries on January 2 at King’s College Hospital in Denmark Hill.
Following his father’s tragic passing, Craig Chaters, 37, from Cormont Road in Camberwell, voluntarily presented himself at a local police station. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with the murder of his father on the same day. The accused, Craig Chaters, appeared in court at Croydon Crown Court on March 26, where he entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charge.
