Navy Member Transferred to Military Oditur in Car Rental Boss Shooting Case

Tangerang, Indonesia – The Naval Military Police Center (Puspomal) has transferred the investigation of a shooting incident involving a member of the Indonesian Navy and the killing of a car rental boss to the Military Oditur (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta. Rear Admiral TNI Samista, the Commander of Puspomal, announced the delegation following the completion of their comprehensive investigation into the case.

During a press conference in Jakarta, Samista revealed that the investigation into the murder at Rest Area Kilometer (KM) 45 Tangerang-Merak Toll Road involved thorough and rapid efforts by Puspomal. The case files were symbolically handed over to the Officer Major Chk G. Rambe of Otmil II-07 Jakarta by the Head of the General Crimes Section of the Puspomal Investigation Unit.

Samista emphasized the commitment of the TNI to transparent and accountable law enforcement in pursuit of justice. Following investigations and interviews with 18 witnesses, evidence such as the black Daihatsu Sigra car, the firearm used in the shooting, bullet casings, victim’s clothing, and other items were confiscated. Additionally, reconstruction of the incident was conducted to clarify the sequence of events.

The suspects, identified through witness testimonies and evidence, have been detained for their involvement in the crime under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code (KUHP). Samista expressed gratitude for the collaboration and support received from various parties, including the Navy, local police, media, and the victims’ families, in resolving the case promptly with transparency.
