CHICKAMAUGA, GA – Funeral arrangements have been set for Officer Charles “Chuck” Dunn, who tragically lost his life in a murder-suicide incident while off duty.
Dunn was a devoted member of the Chickamauga Police Department and a close friend to the victims, Jack Denny and his daughter Jacklyn “Jackie” Payne. The incident, which took place on March 8, also claimed the lives of Jacklyn’s husband, Russell Payne, who took his own life after the tragic events unfolded.
The community will gather to pay their respects during visitation hours at Wilson Funeral Home in Chickamauga on Saturday and Sunday, followed by a funeral service at Center Grove Baptist Church in Rock Spring on Monday. Officer Dunn will then be laid to rest at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
