Pani Puri Vendor Brutally Assaulted to Death After Refusing to Serve for Free in India

Kanpur Dehat, India – A tragic incident in India has shocked the community, as a local man was brutally assaulted and later died for refusing to give free paani puri to a local goon and his gang members. The victim, 40-year-old Prem Chandra, was a resident of the Chakeri area, where he lived with his wife and children.

According to Indian police officials, the paani puri vendor was attacked on Sunday evening while he was on his way home. Dheeraj, a local goon, and his four accomplices demanded free paani puri, but when Prem declined, they verbally abused and physically assaulted him. Fortunately, local residents were able to intervene and rescue the vendor from further harm.

Despite being rushed to the nearest hospital, Prem’s health deteriorated, and he was declared dead by doctors that same night. The police have taken charge of the investigation and sent the victim’s body for a postmortem examination.

Inspector Ashok Kumar Dubey from Chakeri police station stated, “No visible injury marks were found on the victim’s body.” He also mentioned, “Action will be taken based on the autopsy report and other necessary findings.”
