TONAWANDA, N.Y. – A tragic incident in Tonawanda, New York has left a woman fatally injured after being attacked by another patient during a day outing with People Inc. The victim’s family shared the heartbreaking news of her passing on a GoFundMe page established in her memory.

Local authorities revealed that 56-year-old Diana Robinson was assaulted by a fellow patient at the day habilitation center on April 1, as disclosed in a police report obtained through a Freedom of Information request. The report outlined the brutal attack, which included the victim’s head being slammed against a window, hair being pulled, and being bitten by the assailant.

Following the assault, Robinson succumbed to her injuries on April 15, confirmed by the Tonawanda Police in a press release. The individual responsible for the attack was initially charged with assault but may face additional charges, pending the outcome of the investigation by the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
