Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – The suspect accused of a deadly rampage through Philadelphia’s Kingsessing neighborhood will be standing trial after a preliminary hearing on Tuesday. Kimbrady Carriker faced all charges, months after being found unfit to stand trial and undergoing 60 days of inpatient mental health treatment.
Carriker, 40, allegedly shot eight people and killed five of them in July of 2023. The victims included Joseph Wamah, DaJuan Brown, Lashyd Merritt, Dymire Stanton, and Ralph Moralis. Additionally, a 13-year-old and 2-year-old were injured by gunshot wounds, while two others sustained injuries from shattered glass during the attacks.
