Police hunt for suspects in violent attack at Edmonton LRT platform involving six individuals captured in photos

Edmonton, Alberta – The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s help in identifying six suspects involved in a violent assault on a man at the Churchill LRT platform last month. The incident occurred on February 24th, when a 64-year-old man was waiting for a train around 5:30 a.m. According to authorities, the man was approached by a male suspect, resulting in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical attack, leaving the victim with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the Edmonton Police Service disclosed that the attack involved not only the initial suspect but five others who joined in, robbing the man before fleeing the scene. The victim was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. The police have released photos of the suspects and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

One of the suspects is described as a male in his twenties, standing approximately six feet tall with a slim build, black hair, and a light moustache. He was wearing distinctive clothing, including a white hat with a “Playboy” logo, a black jacket, and carrying pepper spray. Another suspect, believed to be in his thirties, was described as having blond hair, a slim build, and was carrying an over-the-shoulder bag at the time of the assault.

A third suspect, believed to be in their thirties or forties, was described as wearing a black face mask, a hat with a cannabis leaf logo, and other specific clothing items. A fourth suspect, whose gender was not specified, was wearing a white puffy jacket and other distinctive clothing. A fifth suspect, a woman in her mid-twenties to thirties, was described as having shoulder-length brown hair and was carrying a black and white blanket or clothing item.

The police have issued arrest warrants for a sixth suspect, identified as Travis Damian Houle, who is facing charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a probation order in connection with the incident at the Churchill LRT platform. Authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the Edmonton Police Service or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
