NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Detectives in South Nashville are diligently working to identify a pair of violent robbery suspects who have been targetting women in the area. These suspects have been linked to at least four violent robberies, the most recent occurring on a Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store.
In the most recent incident, a 62-year-old woman was attacked while placing items in her vehicle. A man from a car pulled up next to her, grabbed her belongings, causing her to fall and hit her head on the pavement. She had to be taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities believe that this attack is connected to three other robberies that took place in the area in November. In each of these incidents, women were targeted by a man and woman duo, resulting in injuries and stolen belongings.
The male suspect is described as a short black man, while the female suspect has been described differently in various accounts – as a white woman in some cases and as a black woman in others. The suspects are believed to be traveling in an older white sedan.
Law enforcement is urging anyone with information on these suspects or the robberies to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward. It is crucial for the safety of the community that these suspects are identified and apprehended.
